This year, Precious Hearts supported Operation Christmas Child, a project founded by The Samaritans Purse. This project aims to give a shoebox full of gifts to underprivileged children who would not normally receive a Christmas present. The shoeboxes are delivered to several countries across the world. We were able to build 45 shoeboxes, each at a cost of £20! Every shoebox represents a child that is so special and so loved by God. We are extremely grateful to have been able to support this project and enable 45 children to experience the love of Christ in this way.
We have maintained our weekly prayer calls at 6am on Mondays. Members of the Precious Hearts Team take turns leading prayer this week and it is an amazing opportunity for us to fellowship and pray together regarding the week ahead and anything the Lord has placed on our hearts. Through this we have been able to see members of Precious Hearts grow in their confidence to lead others in prayer, speak in tongues and intercede for one another.
We have also been able to maintain contact with the young ladies that joined our weekly Bible study and fellowship sessions over lockdown in 2020. As many are now in university, we had a zoom meeting in order to catch up and maintain the friendships that were formed during the lockdown. In this meeting, we were able to be open and transparent about struggles that we face and pray for one another.
Precious Hearts as a global ministry, has members across the UK and in other countries, so our WhatsApp group chats have been our main source of communication. This has allowed us to be able to keep in contact and check in with each other. This has been especially important for being able to reach out to the young ladies that are not based in the UK and are not able to meet with us in person. Members of the Precious Hearts team have continued writing daily devotionals for members of the group. This has been another way for us to share God’s word and build each other up in our faith.
Precious Hearts’ mentorship programme has also continued. Members have been able to benefit from having someone a few years older than them support them in their spiritual journey. All of our mentors received training this year to ensure that we were fully equipped to carry out the role effectively. It has been amazing to see mentees grow and begin to mentor other girls within the group! This really highlights that discipleship that is taking place in our community.
We would like to thank everyone that has given towards this ministry and supported us in prayer. Through your commitment we have been able to help extend God’s Kingdom in ways that we have not previously done before and support many other young ladies in their faith journeys. Today’s young people are often referred to as the ‘lost generation’ — a generation far from God and without hope but we don’t believe this is true! Holy Spirit is moving and the Lord is doing a good work in the hearts of so many.
Once again, we thank you for partnering with us and supporting what God is doing in Precious Hearts. We believe that God has so much more in store for us and we are grateful for your continued support.
Kind regards,
